Who We Are

Dr. Mary O'Donovan

Owner and Veterinarian

Dr. Mary O'Donovan is originally from northeast Connecticut.  She graduated from the University of Connecticut in 1998 and went onto to Colorado State University for a master's degree in equine reproduction (2000) and veterinary school (2004).  Following graduation, Dr. O'Donovan completed an internship at the Vermont Large Animal Clinic.  In 2008, Dr. O'Donovan opened Meadowbrook Equine.  Dr. O'Donovan has a special interest in equine reproduction and neonatal medicine. In her free time, Mary can be found spending time outdoors with her husband and two children.

Dr. Kathleen Gill

Veterinarian

Dr. Kathleen Gill grew up in Middlebury, VT. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Vermont, and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Gill joined Meadowbrook Equine in 2016, and her special interests include lameness, sports medicine, and dentistry. Dr. Gill was certified in 2017 in Veterinary Spinal Manipulation Therapy (VSMT) and is able to offer equine and canine chiropractic medicine. Her hobbies include running, knitting, spending time with her cats, and riding her Thoroughbred mare, Minx.

Sabrina Bateman

Office Manager

Sabrina Bateman grew up in Raymond, NH but always knew she would move to Vermont where the rest of her family originated. She graduated from UVM with an Animal Science degree with concentration in preveterinary medicine. She started her own petsitting business in 2002, boarding operation in 2008, and is the mother to a wonderful daughter who helps around the family farm. She lives in Monkton, VT with her husband and daughter, 2 horses (Pictured on right is PiRhett who is now retired), 2 dogs, and 3 great barn carts.

In her spare time she enjoys trail riding, camping with her horse, or playing video games with her daughter. Board/card games are also one of her favorite activities when she can find friends to join in.
